help with setting up a database

i have been trying to use this software for a while, but i am having a few difficulties, and hopefully somebody can help,i want to create a software database and looking at the template it looks perfect, however i want to get rid of all the fields i do not want eg lending etc,but unable to,so alternatively ive tried to do my own,but when i input the categories ,(which i have a few) the program never remembers the category,so have to start from the beginning,is there something i am doing wrong, thanks in advance

Re: help with setting up a database

Hello

Maybe you could try to do minimal changes to the Software model, for example, not removing the fields related to lending but just removing the Lending tab in the user interface?

Re: help with setting up a database

In the model Software.gcm I would simply delete the XML items with the attribute title="PanelLending".
