Amazon (US) search finding wrong "summary"
Platform
Linux Fedora Core 4
gcstar 1.1.1 generic rpm
Updates installed
Area:
Amazon (US) isbn search plugin
Summary:
The Amazon (US) summary "description"
is pulling up "Sign-up for our monthly"
for new books when searched for using
the ISBN.
I am not sure what I expect as I am new
to usng gcstar and the books collection,
but what it finds for the summary is
wrong.

Hello,
I think I fixed the problem. I added it to the update repository for 1.1.1 version. Please let me know if you still have some problems.

Re: Amazon (US) search finding wrong "summary"
Thanks! Looks great.
I really should have looked at gcstar months ago. After fixing the image import
problem when upgrading from gcfilms. With the books collection, I actually want
to work on an plugin to make it work with librarything.com.
By the way, since I am new to the book collection thing in gcstar and what to expect from the amazon plugin, I would like to ask another hopefully quick question.
With the amazon plugin, should I expect to see the "genre" filled in?
Thanks again.

This information is not available on pages describing books. So there is no way for GCstar to get it. But if you have examples of books that have a genre, please let me know.

Should you have a problem using GCstar, you can open a bug report or request some support on GCstar forums.
