import picture from URL

To add a picture non-automatically, I have to save a picture to my hard disk in the path and with the file I want to store it in.
I think GCstar should do that for me.

I propose adding an option in the right-click-menu of an image: "import picture from URL", which does exactly that:
- download image from URL
- save it in images directory
- filename from GCstars naming scheme

Re: import picture from URL

Try dragging and dropping the picture from your web browser onto the picture button in gcstar -- it does everything you wanted but even quicker then having to copy and paste a url wink

Re: import picture from URL

Cool!

But I am not the drag'n'drop type. Also, I use my window manager in a way that my browser and GCstar are never on the same tab (a.k.a. Desktop). So they're never visible at the same time, which makes drag'n'drop rather hard.

Thus, I stand by my proposal. It feels clean and intuitive. And I'd use it a lot smile

Should you have a problem using GCstar, you can open a bug report or request some support on GCstar forums.
