Where do I place my custom templates on my android-phone so GCStar Viewer can use them?
I've searched all over the phone but can't find it.

Hey guys!

I have a HTC Desire with Android. On my mobile it works great. To explain how it works I first have to explain how I have it on my PC, that's very important for success:

...\GC Star\bin\Cover

So, and now I have taken my .gcs file on my sd card and in the same path the "bin" folder. Looks like this:

...\sdcard\DVD's.gcs
...\sdcard\bin\Cover

It's very important, that you put the files in the same path on your mobile, which you choose on your pc. And also important: Do never ever change the path, not on your PC, not on your mobile.

I've got GCModels in two places at my machine, first stock ones in gcstar install path and then custom ones in home folder;
~/.config/gcstar/GCModels/
/usr/share/gcstar/lib/GCModels

I've tried to add custom model templates in various places in my sdcard, none works. Tried:
/sdcard/custom.gcm
/sdcard/gcstar/custom.gcm
/sdcard/gcstar/GCModels/custom.gcm
/sdcard/gcstar/lib/GCModels/custom.gcm
/sdcard/gcstar/lib/custom.gcm
/sdcard/GCModels/custom.gcm
/sdcard/usr/share/gcstar/lib/GCModels/custom.gcm

So, still no luck.
Where should I place custom GCModels?
I've searched my phohe for *.gcm files but cannot find a single one.
Who made this android port? That person must be able to answer.

Oh, sorry. I thought you've talked about the DVD Covers and the .gcs file.
But I can't imagine you can use models on mobile GC version. Do you have seen the mobile version before? There's no graphik what you could change with a custom model. It's only a list auf Movienames....or one DVD cover next to another. There's no interface.

Yes, I know how the mobile version looks like, I'm using it.
I don't use it for movies. In my collection there's a text list with all items and when those are clicked I get text info on those items.

Problem now is I can't open collections that uses custom Models, like my View Master collection. It's not a custom gui I'm after, its custom fields in a database. Should be possible with the mobile version.

Hi, all

I have same problem : "standard" collections exported in .gcz work, but custom ones do not.
The sources are here http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/gcstar/viewer/, up to now I have not found anything related to problem in them.
I suppose that the equivalent of GCmodels or .config are somewhere in Android, perhaps in some unattainable system place ?
