Importing from another database
i hope your able to help and advise,i currently have a large database in datacrow and i'm not keen on it,as it was what was available .however i think GE Star would be far better, however is there a easy way to export and import the data into it,or is it a case of one by one? thanks in advance

Re: Importing from another database
The latest version https://gitlab.com/Kerenoc/GCstar/tree/Test can import Datacrow XML file but it was not really validated in real databases. Maybe you should give it a try.

Re: Importing from another database
You should look the instructions to install GCstar. Once GCstar installed, create a new collection of the appropriate type (Films, Books, ....) then use the menu "File/Import" to select your DataCrow file.
If you encounter problems, as the DataCrow importation was not fully tested, you could provide your file for debugging.

Should you have a problem using GCstar, you can open a bug report or request some support on GCstar forums.
