Unlike expected it is unfortunately not possible to load data from internet databases to GCstar for a Stamps Collection. Such an option is available in other freeware products. It would be very good to have such an option also in GCstar.

Agreed that the ability to fetch data from the web is very useful. For stamps, which website would be a good candidate for a first implementation?

In another Linux freeware Tellico I found that there the colnect database (https://colnect.com) can be used for stamps and coins. Is something like that also possible for GCstar or what has in this case to be considered (approval/agreement with the webpage)?
At Colnect you can also find data for other in GCstar available collections like comics, video games, lego, magazines, die-cast models, phonecards and this is available in many languages.
