encoding of web data / umlauts
Hi,
I'm having some trouble with data extracted from German Amazon. All Umlauts are funny characters. I wonder whetehr the same is true for French etc. Any way to change that?
Eg:
Code:
Durch Zufall stößt ein Philosophiedoktorand in der Bibliothèque Nationale auf einen vergessenen Exzentriker, der im 18.Jahrhundert die Pariser Salons eroberte.
Cheers!

Re: encoding of web data / umlauts
Hello,
Sorry for this late reply.
Frenkx committed on CVS a version that should fix this problem. You may try it by downloading this file:
http://cvs.gna.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/gc … oot=gcstar
Save it over the file with the same name in lib/gcstar/GCPlugins/GCbooks (I supposed you were talking about books).
Let us know if it fixes your problem.

Should you have a problem using GCstar, you can open a bug report or request some support on GCstar forums.
