I updated to Version 1.7.0, and now I can't access GCStar
Version: 1.7.0
Operating system: MSWin32
Error message: C:\Users\User\Desktop\Movies.gcs
Cannot open items list. Format may be incorrect.
Failed to open '' for writing: Invalid argument at C:\Program Files (x86)\GCstar\lib\gcstar/GCItemsLists/GCImageLists.pm line 1427.
Additional information:
I can't figure out how to use GCStar at all now, because when I open it it goes to the most recent collection by default, and it greys everything out with an error message so I can't even create a new collection

Re: I updated to Version 1.7.0, and now I can't access GCStar
Override "Load previous collection on startup"
1. Open Windows Explorer and type %APPDATA% in the address bar and press Enter.
2. Navigate to %APPDATA%/gcstar/config/
3. Open GCstar.conf (if Choose Program dialogue opens, select Notepad)
4. Goto line 10 and change "noautoload" from '0' to '1'
5. If GCstar is open, then restart.
This will you allow to create a new collection on startup.
If you select Help then View Plugins and GCstar hangs, you might have a bad plugin.
At startup, in the "Select a collection type" dialogue, select a collection to create. If that collection starts, it should be fine. If GCstart hangs, then that plugin is bad.
For me, it was Music Collection. Look here to see if this works for you:

Good luck.

Should you have a problem using GCstar, you can open a bug report or request some support on GCstar forums.
