Additional fields for classical music collection
The pre-defined music collection type does not have all the fields needed for classical music. Classic CDs often have music pieces from different composers. This is represented on musicbrainz with a composer field per track.
e.g. https://musicbrainz.org/release/8cb88f0 … daa7950081
Is it possible to have a composer field per track within gcstar and automatically fill it from musicbrainz?
PS: love gcstar - it's great

Re: Additional fields for classical music collection
First of all: thank you so much for the artist fields! This seems to be exactly what I need. I had not been looking into the forum for a long time. So I did not realize it was added
Discogs does not work well for me. I would appreciate it to work with musicbrainz. What I tried in my browser with the web API is this:
1) search for barcode
http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release/?qu … 8940003127
-> get release id
2) get release including artist credits + recordings
http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release/bae … recordings
-> get track list
The track list has a composer name for each track
Code:
<artist-credit> <name-credit> <artist id="e3d5cfcd-e42b-411d-add2-716a5029f59b" type="Person" type-id="b6e035f4-3ce9-331c-97df-83397230b0df"> <name>Max Bruch</name>
Any chance to make this work in gcstar?

Re: Additional fields for classical music collection
Thanks for adding discogs subtracks on the Test branch. It now works much better for me.
Still the Artists fields are not filled with e.g. EAN 028940003127.
